1) very professional staff. They are on standby all the time. They are very fast. I remembered one incident where we asked a staff for help to book taxi for next day. Then another staff suddenly emerged from the door behind the reception to call the taxi. He talked to the taxi company while the staff attending to us asked us more details. The whole process was completed in few mins. On the next day, even though we went down 15mins earlier than the stated time, the taxi was already stationed outside waiting for us. 2) Most of them understand English but they would have at least one staff who is very fluent in English. 3) onsen in the room is spacious 4) really good ocean and mountain view from the room as well as from the breakfast area 5) awesome breakfast. Wide variety and most are really good!!! 6) near botanic garden and the yunokawa illumination area 7) SUPER clean and spacious room. Very comfortable to stay in 8) washing machine and dryer is available. Just that you will need to buy the detergent from the shop and understand Japanese in order to use it. 9) free bottles of mineral water. Tbh i realised not all resorts/onsen hotels provide mineral water so i am glad they do 10) convenience store is opposite the hotel

Our in room onsen was very spacious and could easily fit more than 2 people that are 6ft+. It was a lot more spacious and clean, more so than the surrounding hotels with in-room onsens in the surrounding neighbourhood of Yunokawa (won't name them). The hotel room was spotless and very spacious with a wide ocean view. It was a good mix between modern luxury and traditional japanese. The interior design was very warm and stylish yet maintains a hint of traditional japan houses. The flooring and walls looked luxurious. The ocean view with the snowy beach was very relaxing and made me question my existence because of how surreal it was. The tatami beds were insanely comfy. The dining hall and the food were of very high quality and had many selections - though the sashimi / sushi could improve a little bit on the dinner buffet. We understand this is not a sushi restaurant so overall it is a 10/10.

Location was pretty good. Convenient bus connections to Hakodate airport and city with bus stops within a couple of minutes or less on foot. Rooms are large and clean. Stayed in a sea view room with in room onsen. Water temp was perfect but the attached shower is always freezing even with the heater on. Really lived the heated towel rail and supplied amenities. Staff are great if bordering on overbearing. They are stationed all around standing rigid like soldiers so you are never sure if they are there to render assistance or stop you from stealing the fittings. Complimentary hot drinks tucked away in the corner of the lobby are welcome if you can find them. Soft drinks in onsen are nice too.

gorgeous luxury hotel with onsens that have ocean views. amazing buffet (don’t skip the buffet dinner or breakfast) it was unforgettable high quality food and the price point was not bad we stayed in a traditional room with ocean view and balcony rock bath. it was amazing! I wish we had stayed for another day to Truly enjoy it! private onsen balcony with water from the hot spring overlooking the ocean. it was romantic relaxing and a complete reset. I would stay again in a heartbeat. don’t hesitate to book and relax, soak, eat and enjoy! the restaurants onsite do require 24 hour notice to book reservations. the buffets do not.

This probably the best hotel I have experience so far during my journey. The breakfast and dinner buffet are perfect. Every kind of Japanese food you could think of, they got it, and they all delicious. The location is good, not far from Hakodate Mountain, and right at the beach, you can take shot of the sea from inside and outside the hotel easily. You can even rent the yukata cloth and extra comfortable pillow for free. I would recommend everyone try the room with independent onsen, trust me, every buck you spent is worth it.
